I cannot believe that I start my senior year of college on Monday! It’s kind of unnerving! It’s like this time next year, I should be out on my own! Ah… how that thought consoles me.
This year is going to be different. I can feel it in my bones.
First off, I have an a pretty darn tootin’ awesome internship with the Utah Sports department. My first deadline was today and I think I did pretty well for my first football player feature for the program of the first home game. Now I’m just hoping my superiors will like it! I’m looking forward to doing more… and I know they will be ready for that with plenty of work for me to do. I’ll be working in the office about 10 hours a week on top of going to sporting events. I’m the intern in charge of Swimming and Diving but I may be called on to go help at other sports too. Those will be divied up between me and the other 3 interns. I think what I’m most looking forward to is watching and better understanding the confusing sport of football. Just from my first feature, I learned quite a bit about defensive lines seeing as the player I interviewed is a defensive end. Pretty fascinating stuff actually!
And like I said in my guest post, I still have a lovely new gusto for life and I like trying new things. On Monday before my class, I’m doing something that’s not really new but it’s different. It’s a change. And I’m scared. For the past 4 years, I’ve been growing out my hair and I haven’t colored it, highlight it or nothing. This is my natural hair color! And little ol’ me wanted a change… something fun for my senior year… Me thinks I’ll just post pictures on Monday showing the before and after hair chronicles.
Oh, my class schedule? Why didn’t ya say something before? ;) Haha…
M/W – Studies in Poetry & Womens Chorus (which is also on F)
T/H – Italian and Intro to Playwriting
And then Creating Web Content online to round it out. Sounds fun right? Well, I certainly hope it will be.

Oh, wow. I can imagine your excitement because I can’t believe I’m starting university in September. Can’t wait! :)
Starting university is such a thrill! Maybe I should warn you it won’t last long if your classes suck… haha. But if you’re excited then I’m sure it will be awesome! Oh by the way, the thing on your blog that tells me what kind of computer, cable, and browser I’m using AND the IP addres… that’s a little creepy. It doesn’t track that information right? Haha…
good luck with classes and your internship! it’s my senior year too… wish I could say it was my last.. I’m stuck in school for another year and a half after this…
